I can only say it over and over again. I believe it and live it.
LinkedIn is the future when it comes to B2B communication.
Even if you are not yet pro-actively posting (we have something in common then) and contributing to this 810 million strong social media community, at least try to have your news feed set properly.
It will serve you as your daily real life business world up-date. Not only are you connected to persons of your interest, but you will also know if they changed jobs or started new activities.
Don‘t be shy on connecting with as many as possible. The basis to do so, is a clean and well worded personal profile.

Challenge yourself, exhaust your weekly connection requests (100 currently) and build a strong following with exactly the information you need to have to be on top of your game on B2B social media.
